The Woz Enterprise Registered Apprenticeship Program addresses the widening gap in technology talent in the United States and puts people back to work.

Fueled by the rapidly-growing technology industry, the US economy is expected to add more than eight million jobs from 2018 to 2023, many in roles such as software engineer, data analyst, and cybersecurity analyst. All while training efforts have yet to produce enough qualified applicants to meet these demands.

The Woz Registered Apprenticeship Program brings together Education, Business, and Government to create a unique career path for learners who want to pursue a technology job and employers seeking a diverse pool of technology talent.

We specifically designed our program to earn registered approval by the United States Department of Labor, meeting its strict quality guidelines for the national apprenticeship curriculum. Currently, this program is offered in 11 states with more to come.

Jump-Start Your Career in Tech With Our Nationally Registered Technology Apprenticeship Solution

Historically traditional apprenticeship programs were used to train workers in skills for a distinct trade under the mentorship of a master craftsman.

A significant number of technology roles don’t require traditional education or an advanced degree. Today’s modern technology apprenticeships leverage the time-tested earn-while-you-learn model while combining valuable hands-on training with online learning for the employee apprentice.

In addition to offering full-time employment in entry-level IT jobs, the program includes education partners allowing for the articulation of the Woz Apprenticeship training into college credits.

Address Your Organization’s Employment Needs While Defining Your Workforce Development Strategy

While approximately two-thirds of U.S. hiring managers believe implementing a workforce development program will help their organization prepare for future innovation or market disruption, only 46 percent of companies are prioritizing these programs. These private sector businesses are held back by budgetary constraints, lack of employee time to participate in training, and lack of appropriate training technology.

Working closely with global leaders in technology, the Woz technology apprenticeship program provides immediate benefits to tech companies looking to increase the quality of candidates for in-demand jobs and build a sustainable pipeline of skilled talent through career path development and skilled trade training programs
